Institute of Communications Technology

The IKT focuses on current challenges in the areas of network communication, wireless transmission systems, audio communication, and acoustics. We conduct research into network analysis tools and new technologies and concepts for the Internet of the future, software-defined radio testbeds for novel radio standards such as 5G and 6G, and possibilities for immersive spatial audio recording, analysis, and reproduction, e.g., for interactive AR/VR applications.

Due to renovation work on the facade of the tower building, the IKT has moved out until further notice. The interim offices are located on the 5th floor at Appelstr. 11/11A.
