The communications networks group deals with the infrastructure of wired and wireless networks. We analyze and develop communication architectures, protocols, and mechanisms for future networks and networked applications. Our main fields of research (and research projects) are:
- Cognitive Radio Networks (C-PMSE, CoRAS)
- Future Internet (T-NOVA, CONFINE, ProCloud, LAVINET, VirtuRAMA)
- Network Performance Analysis (ProPerBounds, NetMeter, UnIQue)
- Vehicular Communications (SocialCars, C3World, PLANETS, CarS)
We offer various interesting topics for Diplom, Bachelor, and Master thesis as well as student worker (Hiwi) jobs in our fields of research, see the pages on thesis and jobs for more information. We do not have any open positions for summer internships, currently.
Current research projects:
Past research projects
- Car2X Safety - CarS
- G-Lab VirtuRAMA
- WiMAX in Niedersachsen
The communications networks group is headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Fidler.
