Short CV
David Dietrich is an research assistant at the Institute of Communications Technology of the Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany, where he was working within the German-Lab project VIRTURAMA (Router virtualization). He received the german degree "Diplom-Ingenieur" and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kassel, Germany, in 2006. He also obtained the german degree "Diplom-Ingenieur(FH)" in Computer Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany, in 2003. During the study phase two 6 and 7 months internships at the companies EADS/Astrium GmbH, Bremen (Space Infrastructure) and Daimler-Chrysler AG, Bremen (Automotive) were passed successfully. From 2006 to 2009, David was software and application engineer in the area of automotive communications at the carts GmbH, Kassel. His main responsibility was the development of real-time simulations of automotive bus systems for automobile manufacturers. David has working experience in various software-related fields, he was also technical staff member at the IEE-AT institute of the University of Kassel, from 2003 to 2006. His research interests include next-generation Internet architectures, network virtualization and network management.
